Coating & Laminating Lines

Follow the problem
from unwind to rewind.

Machine and converting expertise across the line, not just the winding section. IMS connects controls, drives, tension, web handling and the people running the process.

Unwinds · Tension zones · Driven sections · Coating and laminating machine systems · Rewinds

Whole-line machine support

Work the system, not just one component.

Unwind & tension

Brake or drive response, dancers, load cells, diameter calculations and stable delivery into the line.

Driven sections

Speed relationships, draw, drive response and feedback, including how one section influences the next.

Web handling

Tracking, traction, nips, rolls and mechanical conditions that disturb the web or show up downstream.

Machine controls

PLC and HMI systems, sequencing, recipes, alarms, diagnostics and coating-line coordination.

Rewind performance

Tension, taper, torque, diameter, lay-on behavior and finished-roll problems at the end of the line.

Startup & improvement

Controls upgrades, baseline checks, production testing and a practical operator and maintenance handover.

Where IMS fits

Find the cause. Carry the work forward.

IMS leads the agreed converting-machine work and coordinates with plant personnel and qualified specialists. The scope may cover a recurring problem, one section of the line or a planned controls upgrade.

Specialist work is scoped separately. Coating formulation, dryer or combustion design, and formal machine-safety engineering are not included by default.

IMS Ops and IMS Verify belong here, too.

Machine-specific training, diagnostics and performance verification apply to coating and laminating lines as well as to winders.
