IMS Verify / Machine performance checks

Before changing the machine,
find out what it is actually doing.

Investigate a questionable reading, establish a useful baseline or check the result of a change. A focused test plan gives your team evidence for the next decision.

Start with the question

What do you need to know before deciding?

Can we trust the reading?

Compare a selected control value with suitable available measurements and the machine's behavior. Separate a setpoint from evidence of what actually happened.

What is the baseline?

Record agreed tension zones, speed relationships, diameter, pressure or other relevant behavior under defined operating conditions.

Did the change do what we needed?

Recheck the agreed functions after tuning, a control change, component replacement or rebuild. Record the result and unresolved items.

A method, not a guess

Commanded. Measured. Observed.

Commanded

What the PLC, HMI, drive or recipe asks the machine to do.

Measured

What suitable instruments or validated methods can establish, with the source and limits identified.

Observed

How the machine, web and finished roll behave under the tested conditions.

What you receive

The agreed question and test plan, recorded conditions and methods, results, open items and practical next steps. Verified findings stay separate from observations, calculations and things not tested.

Make the evidence useful

Plan remotely.
Check at the machine.

Remote review can help plan the checks and examine available data. Physical measurements need suitable equipment and qualified people at the machine; a remote screen is not a substitute for a measurement.

When corrections are part of the agreed work, I can help make and check them. You do not need to buy a separate program just to have normal troubleshooting or upgrade work tested.

What these checks do—and do not—establish

Drive torque estimates are labeled as estimates. Pressure is not presented as directly measured nip force. Independent instruments are used where feasible; machine-reported values and calculations are identified.

Conclusions apply to the tested conditions. IMS Verify is machine-performance verification, not machine-safety or regulatory certification. When I also make the corrections, that role is stated; the work is not described as independent third-party certification.

Tell Me What the Machine Is Doing

You do not need a finished diagnosis or a service package. Tell me what is happening, and we will establish the right next step.
